It’s bugging me, grating me
And twisting me around
Yeah I’m endlessly caving in
And turning inside outCause I want it now (I want it now)
Give me your heart and your soul
And I’m breaking out (I’m breaking out)
Last chance to lose controlYeah it’s holding me, morphing me
And forcing me to strive
To be endlessly cold within
And dreaming I’m aliveCause I want it now (I want it now)
Give me your heart and your soul
And i’m breaking down (I’m breaking out)
Last chance to lose controlAnd I want you now (I want you now)
I’ll feel my heart implode
And I’m breaking out
Escaping now
Feeling my faith erodeHysteria by Muse
This is epic good stuff—my favorite song coming from my favorite band. It features Muse’s loud energetic style fueled by killer blistering guitars, has a monstrous chorus, excellent bass line, Matt’s aching voice singing top-notch lyrics of being driven to the edge of intense, maddening longing. It feels like the song is seething with gripping impulsiveness and celebrating pure rapture. It makes me air guitar my heart out (especially at the bass line) and I always crank it up when I listen to it, whatever mood I’m in. It’s stuck in my head forever. It can’t get any better than this.
